Drive for Ritter
Our drivers are the foundation of our company, and consequently, we want the best for each and every one of them. We are a large trucking company with over 100 power units and we are constantly growing. But since we are a family company, we take pride in fostering relationships with our drivers and providing a safe work environment. Our owners, Matt and Mike Ritter, both have a CDL license and are experienced drivers. It was important to them to lead based off of experience rather than assumptions.
To improve the quality of life for our drivers, we offer jobs that allow you to be home every night or every other night. Most of our runs are local or regional, keeping you close to home and giving you the opportunity to make it back in case of an emergency. The local runs are within 200 miles and can be made in one day. For regional jobs, you will make an overnight trip and drive between 400 and 600 miles. This ensures you are home four nights of the week, one of those being a weekend night. Longer routes that require you to be away from your home for a longer period of time are voluntary.
Ritter is committed to safety and to educating our drivers on how to make incident-free runs. We offer quarterly safety bonuses to all of our drivers as a sign of our appreciation for making the highways safer. We also try to make our drivers more comfortable by using automatic trucks because driving a manual transmission in traffic can cause knee problems over time.
We are looking for well-qualified, experienced, and safe drivers to join the Ritter team. Ritter pays well and offers benefits, including health, dental, vision, and retirement. Regional drivers may also qualify for a signing bonus.
